Groundhog (Fri)Day or Freaky Friday?

I don’t know whether there is actually a day I’d like to relive. This causes me to think about time machines and the film Back to the Future, and many kinds of FUN. Perhaps any day that I was wandering around The City (NYC, of course) with my friends in the summer, especially The Village. Perhaps any of the moments in any of the many dance classes at the (Alvin Ailey) American Dance Center, Dance Theater of Harlem, or MUSE. Perhaps any of the moments I’ve had in Afro-Cuban Folkloric dance classes in the Bay Area. Perhaps any day I rode my bike downhill towards Prospect Park, wind whipping my cheeks. Perhaps standing on the bow of the Washington State Ferry, watching the waters part and the shadows of the San Juan Islands in the distance on the final day of my week exploring the islands with a group of like minded hikers of a certain age. There are so many moments of joy that arise for me as I contemplate today’s prompt. And rather than believe that’s all of the joy, contentment, or peace I’ll ever experience, I look forward to the moments yet to unfold.
